How it started

AleRosa (my kids inspired the name from my son Perrin’s middle name, ALEjandro, and my daughter Aviendha’s middle name, ROSA.)

I started this business because my daughter, Aviendha, was struggling with eczema and psoriasis in elementary school. When prescription ointments alone failed, as a resourceful Latina mama, I turned to my roots for inspiration, specifically my Nona’s and Abuelita’s natural remedies from Argentina and Chile.

I decided to create a sugar scrub from simple, essential organic ingredients to see if it would help Avi. After some trial and error, I finally found a formula that worked wonders for her.

As someone who has always loved using body scrubs, I started making them for myself, my friends, and my family as gifts. One day, someone asked to buy some after they ran out, and that’s how Alerosa became a little side hustle.

I don’t make a ton of money from it, but I love being able to share my products with others and help offer relief to those who are dealing with similar skin issues. Plus, creating Alerosa has allowed me to connect with my roots in a special way. I remember my Nona used to say, “Hay que ponerle ganas a todo lo que se hace,” which means you have to put passion and effort into everything you do.

That’s been my guiding principle as I’ve created and shared my products with others. I want to put my heart and soul into every jar of Alerosa, just like my Nona, and parents put their heart and soul into everything they did.

So, thank you for being a part of the Alerosa family. I hope my products bring you as much joy and relief as they’ve brought me and my loved ones.
